Adventure Doc Clinic Openings

 

These are opportunities with the Travel Medicine Clinic located in Tucson, Arizona.

Duties include serving patients with pre and post travel consultations. administration of vaccines, scheduling and marketing.

 

Health Care Providers are needed at the level of MD/DO, Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant.

 

Staff positions are needed for scheduling and marketing assistance as well as reception duties.

 

Adventure Doc Accompaniment Openings

 

These are opportunities with our traveler and group accompaniment service. These are open for US Licensed and Board Certified Physicians or Nationally Registered Paramedics. These positions are for Expedition Doctors and Expedition Paramedics.

 

Duties include provision of health care in remote and austere environments, often without back-up or direct supervision. Extensive qualifications for these positions are required including completion of a recognized training program in remote or wilderness medicine. These positions require travel and ability to thrive in a remote setting, often under times of stress.

 

Expedition Paramedic General Requirements:
Nationally registered paramedics with at least 3-5 years of post-certificate experience
ACLS, PALS, NALS certifications up to date
Basic Trauma Life Support or Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support certification
Experience in International Travel
Experience working in rural and remote settings
Experience in Wilderness Medicine and ideally W-EMT trained
Familiarity with satellite communications and remote internet access
Friendly, easy going and ability to function in stressful conditions, autonomously
Physically fit and basic knowledge of outdoor sports skills such as hiking, climbing, paddle sports, cycling
At least one additional language skill besides English

 

Expedition Physician General Requirements:
Board Certified in Emergency medicine, Family medicine or Med/Peds
Board certification in Pediatrics or Internal medicine with experience treating both adults and children
ACLS, PALS, ATLS Certifications up to date
Experience working in emergency room settings
Experience with airway management, basic orthopedics, trauma management
Experience in International Travel
Experience working in rural and remote settings
Experience supervising pre-hospital providers
Experience in tropical medicine and travel health
Experience in Wilderness Medicine
Familiarity with satellite communications and remote internet access
Friendly, easy going and ability to function in stressful conditions, autonomously
Physically fit and basic knowledge of outdoor sports skills such as hiking, climbing, paddle sports, cycling
At least one additional language skill besides English

 

Adventure Doc Education Openings

 

These are opportunities for instruction of Adventure Doc programs in remote, wilderness and tactical medicine. Extensive prior experience in instruction as well as expertise in related areas are required.

 

Adventure Doc Educational programs are delivered at various locations around the world. Students are varied in backgrounds and private classes are also common.
